Who we are

RunSynergy is an app for running groups: member management, training and coaching. RunSynergy is responsible for processing your personal data.

What we use your data for

Your data is used only for coaching and supervision within your running group: training schedules, paces and heart rate zones, analysing your training and progress, advice and personal workouts, member administration, and securing the app. We do not use your data for advertising and we never sell it.

Which data

• Account: name, email address, password (stored encrypted), two-step verification, language and display settings.
• Membership: contact details, date of birth, gender, membership details, subgroup and coaches.
• Health: medical condition, medication, injuries, heart rate data. These are special categories of personal data; we only process them with your explicit consent.
• Training: Cooper tests, race results, attendance, messages and notes from coaches.
• Linked services (only if you link them yourself): activities and workouts from Garmin or Strava, and profile values such as max. heart rate, threshold and VO2max.
• Security log: logins, changes and IP addresses. IP addresses and your login history are kept for six months; only you and the platform administrator can see your login history. The time of your last login stays on your account.

Legal basis

Your explicit consent (health data and linked services), the performance of your membership (member administration and training), and our legitimate interest in a secure app (security log).

Who can see your data

• You yourself.
• The coaches, assistant coaches and personal trainers of your subgroups or of you personally, and the administrators of your running group. Coach notes are only visible to coaches.
• The platform administrator, for management and support.
• Not: other members.

Linked services (Garmin, Strava)

You decide whether to link an account. We store a login token (encrypted), not your password. You can unlink at any time; the token is then deleted. On request we also delete the data retrieved through it.

Retention

We keep your data while you are a member. After your membership ends, your account is disabled and your data is kept for at most 2 years for the history of the running group, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Security

The app runs on a server managed by the RunSynergy administrator. Connections are encrypted (https), passwords are stored encrypted and two-step verification is available.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object. You can withdraw your consent at any time; for health data this means your coach can no longer use it. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Cookies

We only use functional cookies: for logging in, securing forms and remembering your language. No tracking or advertising cookies.
